Veterinary Hospital Manager
Wendy is a Florida native and freelance writer who has been professionally photographing people and their pets since 2010. She has always had a deep love and empathy for animals, and is active in rescue groups including her local Humane Society. Having managed a veterinary hospital in Georgia in a past life, she has general knowledge of routine medical care for your pets and common medical issues dogs might have.
Wendy has been a dog mom since 1998, when she first met and fell in love with a 120 lb. Rottweiler, Sasha. Sasha ultimately passed away from cancer a few months after diagnosis in 2006 shortly before her 8th birthday. Wendy currently has two rescue dogs, Elsie, a dachshund/basset mix whose mom was a stray, and Camille, who was rescued after being abandoned on the side of the road.
In 2010, Wendy and her husband packed up their car with the dogs in tow to take an epic, 6 week camping trip touring the west coast of the US. Together they had the adventure of a lifetime, living in a tent and exploring the wonders of the Wild West. They learned a lot about America’s wide open spaces and traveling with dogs.
Working with animals to create beautiful photographs is one of Wendy’s favorite pastimes. She also enjoys writing about her passions: dogs, photography, and vegetarian eating. When she’s not writing or taking photographs, you can find her at Open Mic night, practicing Yoga, or watching reruns of the Golden Girls. She loves spending time in the Florida outdoors where she lives with her husband and two dogs.
